Radiant Champion projection screen pageBought from a Craigslist seller for $25 bucks. Wrecked my back for a week lifting it. It's about 7 feet wide. Cleaned the exterior, will clean the screen itself when I get up the courage to lift it again.Click any pic to enlarge to full screen in a new tab. Close tab to return.
![]() 12-11-25: Tried cleaning the screen, it was rotting and came apart. Started considering how to salvage the frame and replace the screen. This is the first attempt. At Home Depot I bought some white drop cloth. Thought it was plastic, turns out it's 2 sheets of paper sandwiching some thin plastic. I cut it to fit the top bar, after sanding the rust away and priming it. I also bought a strip of wood for weight, cut to match the top bar. Instead of rewinding inside a (very heavy) steel tube, I can roll it up around the wood bottom strip and un-hook the top bar for storage. I'm hoping the weight will eventually pull the wrinkles out. It's easy to replace. I considered gluing a commercial screen to a thin sheet of plywood. Maybe a much thicker plastic sheet would work using the same mounting system. |
